Vincent has immediate openings during the day, afternoon and evening, in-person and virtual. He can provide treatment for insurance members with the following plans, Health Partners, Cigna, UCARE (Ind. and Family, state and M Health Fairview) and BCBS, Aetna, First Health and Private Pay (HSA or major CC).
Vincent or ‘Vince’ has a calm demeanor that allows his clients to feel at ease from the first session they sit down. After years of providing therapy, he has found his open-minded, non-judgmental approach makes building rapport with his clients his most significant strength. He prioritizing building a safe space and a healthy therapeutic relationship by active listening, balanced with providing insights and encouragement for change. Through history taking, he works to see what barriers you have faced, whether it be an undiagnosed mental health conditions, a family or relationship that has broken you or thinking errors that are making you feel stuck; he doesn’t give up until you meet your goals. He knows that the narrative or story you tell yourself impacts your relationships and life choices and the better you understand yourself, the faster you will see change. He holds the belief that all people naturally seek to live as authentically as possible, and that through living more authentically we can find the answers to most issues that we face in life.
Vincent is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who obtained his masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Vincent offers both in-person and telehealth services for clients ages 16+. He specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, life-transition issues, LGBTQIA+ and has a particular specialization working with clients who have ADHD or are concerned they may be struggling with ADHD and have yet to get a diagnosis. The last three years he has been working in the outpatient setting (clinic) gaining invaluable experience that has driven his proven treatment approach.
He is an effective teacher of difficult subjects and concepts and works well in explaining issues related to mental health to clients in a way they can readily and easily understand.
Vincent’s primary background is in Existential Therapy (the use of activities and tools) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-how your thoughts influence your actions). Combining these approaches with skills training, sports psychology concepts and warm empathic communication, he is able to help bring out the best in his clients.
Outside of work, Vincent enjoys practicing and refining singing, playing tabletop/board games with friends, and applying himself to friendly competitive games and activities.
Self-pay rate $165 (53-55 minute session)
