Specializing in ADHD, LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care, and EMDR

Vincent Hague, LPCC, is a therapist in Eagan, MN offering individual therapy for adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity. His approach is calm, affirming, and built around your lived experience — so you feel understood from the very first session.

About Vincent Hague, LPCC

Vincent — or “Vince” — is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who brings a calm, grounded presence to every session. Clients often describe feeling at ease right away, which he sees as the foundation for real therapeutic progress. He believes that a strong, trusting relationship between therapist and client isn’t just a nice-to-have — it’s what makes change possible.

Vince takes an individualized approach to therapy. He begins by getting to know your history, your motivators, and the patterns of thinking that have shaped your life — recognizing that the experiences you’ve had are both a source of insight and, sometimes, a source of the barriers you’re working through. From there, he meets you where you are: whether you need a thoughtful listener, a direct collaborator, or someone to help you build practical tools for daily life.

As someone who is neurodivergent himself, Vince understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health. He brings both professional training and personal insight to his work with clients who have ADHD — and that same sensitivity informs how he works with every person who walks through his door. He is committed to staying in it with you until you reach your goals.

Specialties & Clinical Focus

Vince works with adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including:

  • ADHD — diagnosed, undiagnosed, or suspected; neurodivergent-affirming care
  • LGBTQIA+ identity and community — affirming support for the full spectrum of identity and experience
  • Anxiety — generalized anxiety, stress responses, and worry patterns
  • Depression — low mood, lack of motivation, and persistent sadness
  • Trauma and PTSD — including complex trauma and adverse life experiences
  • Grief and loss — bereavement and life transitions
  • Identity exploration — self-understanding, life direction, and personal authenticity
  • EMDR — fully trained and actively working toward full certification

Therapeutic Style and Approach

Evidence-Based Modalities

Vince tailors his approach to each client, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps clients identify and shift the thought patterns that keep them stuck — whether that’s anxious thinking, self-criticism, or beliefs that no longer serve them. Vince uses CBT to help clients understand the connection between how they think, feel, and act.

Experiential Therapy

Rather than talking about problems in the abstract, experiential approaches use in-session activities and exercises to create meaningful, hands-on progress. This can be especially effective for clients who learn by doing.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Vince is trained in EMDR, a structured, evidence-based approach for processing traumatic memories and distressing experiences. EMDR is a focused, meaningful process that deepens his trauma-informed practice and is particularly effective for clients with PTSD or adverse childhood experiences.

Across all of these approaches, Vince works from a core belief: the story you tell yourself shapes your relationships, your choices, and your sense of self. Therapy is the process of understanding that story more clearly — and learning to write a new one. He holds that “all people naturally seek to live as authentically as possible, and that through living more authentically, we can find the answers to most of the challenges we face.”

Professional Background

Vincent is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who earned his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. He brings several years of outpatient clinical experience to his practice, working with a diverse range of clients across a variety of presenting concerns.

Vince is known for his ability to explain complex mental health concepts in clear, accessible language — making it easier for clients to understand what they’re experiencing and why the work they’re doing matters. He is practical, direct, and invested in helping clients build insight that translates to real-world change.

He is fully certified in EMDR and stays current on best practices in neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

A Little About Vince

Vince is a firm believer in practicing what he teaches. The same tools he shares with clients — managing attention, building self-awareness, navigating emotions — are ones he applies actively in his own life. He finds that showing up authentically as a person makes him a more effective therapist.

Outside of the office, Vince channels his energy into a wide range of interests: singing, improv performance, martial arts, tabletop roleplaying games, trading card games (he’s a devoted Magic: The Gathering player), spending time with his wife and fighting video games. He’s also an enthusiastic nail painter when the mood strikes.

Vince is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and is passionate about creating a therapeutic space where all clients — regardless of identity, background, or how they move through the world — feel genuinely free to be themselves. He understands firsthand that being your authentic self isn’t always easy, and he considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they work toward that.

If any of this resonates with you, Vince would be glad to hear from you. He’s happy to answer questions and work with you to find a time that fits your schedule.
