Therapeutic Approaches & Methods
Rachael draws from a range of evidence-informed and body-centered approaches tailored to each individual:
Movement-Based Therapy
Integrates the body into the healing process, recognizing that trauma and stress live not just in the mind but in physical experience and sensation.
Play-Based Therapy
Used especially with children and teens, play therapy creates a natural, low-pressure environment where young people can express and process difficult emotions.
Hormone-Aware Therapy
Acknowledges how hormonal shifts — including those related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, and aging — influence mood, cognition, and emotional wellbeing.
Climate-Aware Therapy
Rachael is a certified Climate-Aware Therapist, trained to support individuals experiencing climate anxiety, eco-grief, and the emotional toll of living in an era of environmental uncertainty.
Trauma-Informed & Decolonizing Framework
Rachael’s practice is rooted in a decolonizing lens that honors cultural identity, systemic context, and the diverse lived experiences of every person she works with.
