Education & Training
Julia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Psychology from Macalester College in St. Paul and a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) under the well-respected Minnesota State Board of Social Work.
Uniquely, she also completed a 2-year post-MSW fellowship at the University of Michigan Psychological Clinic, where she studied under tenured clinicians and gained advanced training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based approaches. As a result, she brings exceptionally strong clinical skills to her work with adults and couples of all ages.
Experience & Therapy Approach
Over the last five years, Julia has worked in various outpatient settings with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, and OCD. She is mindful of the many factors that shape how we each experience the world, and therefore strives to create a space that honors her clients’ lived experiences.
Her approach is collaborative and integrative, ultimately helping clients build flexibility around difficult thoughts and feelings so they can move confidently toward their values. She works primarily with adults (18+).

Outside of work, Julia loves getting outside no matter the season. You can find her running, camping, reading, and crocheting with family and friends.

Self-Pay Rate (Opting Out of Insurance)
2026: $175 (53–55 minute session)
This rate applies if you choose not to use your insurance plan and prefer to keep your records confidential.
