Elise is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a unique background, holding an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Minnesota State University Mankato and a Masters of Arts from Adler University in Counseling and Sports Psychology. She offers both in-person and telehealth services for children (aged 10 and up), adolescents, and adults dealing with various mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, body image concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and eating disorders such as body dysmorphic disorder.
Elise has earned a well-known reputation in the Twin Cities as a leader in treating OCD and eating disorders. She takes her work very seriously and is quite effective in helping her clients gain control over their lives, sometimes for the first time.
Elise is always ready to greet you with a smile as a reflection of her passion for helping her clients feel better and to feel confident, they have the skills needed to master their own lives. She is relational in her approach, offering a warm and caring environment to help aid in the process. Her holistic approach to therapy aims to help individuals discover their inner strengths and potential for growth. She works best with clients who are motivated for change and ready to actively engage in the therapeutic process. Creating a relaxed, open, and light-hearted environment is her goal, while addressing life’s obstacles.
In her therapeutic approach, Elise combines multiple evidence-based treatment modalities and values the integration of Christian beliefs and practices for those who share this perspective. She is trained in Family Based Treatment, Exposure-Response Prevention, and has specific expertise in working with anxiety, panic, and grief.
Outside of work, Elise keeps a social lifestyle between taking her dog to the park, trying new foods, and playing pickleball. Her family and friends are very valuable to her and spending quality time with them is a priority.
